  2. Yes, I do. Technology is an important tool for teachers and students. We have to take advantage of the abilities that children and youngsters have in a natural way with the use of technology.

Besides that, using internet is like having access to a huge library in which the teacher can always find more attractive and fun activities in order to teach.

It should be taken into account by the teacher that all the skills of writing, listening, reading, and even speaking and culture can be taught integrating technology. A few years ago, the easiest access to technology in the ESL class was listening to tapes. Today, we have the benefits of a wonderfully broad variety of tools thanks to technology.

  3. I agree because it can improve students skills an add new abilities by using it properly. The technology gives them the opportunity to acquire new vocabulary, work in their pronunciation using the different programs that internet offers. Additionally, it provides a channel to interact with students from other countries and see their pronunciation and how they use English in different activities and for different purposes.

  4. Of course, I do agree with the use of technology in the EFL/ESL classroom. Since students learning a new language need as much language support as possible technology is an excellent complement of teaching a language, and as teachers we should take advantage of these so useful tools.

Other than that, as my partners indicated, technology can strongly caught students’ attention; therefore, they would be more motivated and lessons will be more interactive. Moreover, as I mentioned in my class presentation, language skills such as verbal interaction, vocabulary, reading, and writing have been proven that they could be developed through the use of technology in class. In this way education could be more personalized and students would have varieties of supplemental teaching tool (such as teaching programs), besides the teacher, to develop their skills.

  5. Absolutely...This is the way of the future. I think that soon nearly every type of learning will be available to a bigger audience because it will be more profitable to do online. By using technology in the ESL/EFL classroom people will be able to learn more quickly and in a way that is appropriate to our day and age.

  6. I believe that the use of technology for ESL/EFL classroom is the most interesting tool the professor has nowadays, since almost all students have access to it. It also catches perfectly their attention and their curiosity; and that is a point teachers have in their favor, then its use will bring many advantage for the learning process.
From now, all teachers should be technologically prepared to enhance students learning with variable and different technological activities/info used in classrooms; since a video with an actual theme that can be used as base to discussion, until a camera that students can use to capture what they have learned in a science class, for instance.
On conclusion, I really agree with the use of technology in language classroom, however teachers must be prepared to use it consciously.

  7. Yes, I agree with the use of technology in the EFL/ESL classroom as a complementary tool for professors. Nowadays, we as facilitators should be prepared for the future students which are totally immerse in technology with iPods, computers, and a technology in constant growth.

As everything in life, you can use something for good or bad. So, as professors we should take advantage of technology to improve learners knowledge and skills inside and outside the class. Creating different activities to engage students with the class like a field trip using 360° pictures, discussions on the web, know other customs, create stories, and many other activities using the tools that Internet provide us. For this reason, it is important too as facilitators to be updated with the last innovations and how to use it in our classes.

To conclude, every element that as teachers we can use to motivate students learning process is going to be valuable and should be consider when planning a class.

  8. Even though not all the schools in Costa Rica have the possibility of having technology in their classrooms, I personally believe technology is always important for students to learn and technology makes more interesting the learning process.
I totally agree with using technology. Technology provides things we as teachers cannot provide and it makes wonderful things that education cannot do itself. I think that if we use technology to support every single topic we study, we are going to have at the end more excellent results in education.
Technology gives the opportunity of discovering, going beyond the topics, exploring more about what is being learnt. Technology makes learning more interactive; students can share what they think, can share ideas and share with others new things.
